As you will see, we have a whole host of projects ranging from primary schools, through to student accommodation, as well as an exciting curved roof project on the island of Tiree. And, believe it or not, even the Commonweath Games Athlete’s Village. Never known to shy away from a challenge
Take Kinnoull Primary School for example. This was a project that saw a new gymnasium and classroom added to Kinnoull Primary. A school that’s built to the highest environmental and energy performance standards, this project wasn’t without its challenges when it came to logistics. A particularly tight site from an access point of view, Ochil’s innovative SpaceStud System, which was manufactured in home-grown Scottish timber was at the core of the overall success. Neither the weather nor time get in the way
A very recent project saw Ochil providing a roof truss cassette solution on Ogilvie Construction’s Gorgie Road Student Accommodation project. Working against the clock as well as the good old Scottish weather, the combination of the right timber frame installation and great workmanship means the job was completed in a timescale that would have been considered impossible not so very long ago.
