About Ochil Timber Roof Trusses
Established in 1973, Ochil was the first independent roof truss manufacturer in Scotland, and so we bring a wealth of experience to the design and manufacture of our timber roof trusses.
Using specialist software provided by global supplier ITW, at Ochil we can design and supply versatile trusses and timber components for a variety of architectural specifications, from the simple to the complex – including curved roofs, mono-pitched roofs, and room-in-the roof designs.
Generally roof trusses are spaced at 600mm centres, giving economy in timber use. Standard designs of roof trusses require only external walls to be load bearing, eliminating the need for intermediate supports. All this means that architects and designers can create exciting roof designs in an economic way.
Using our expertise in design and manufacture we can offer complete solutions and advice on all aspects of roof engineering. This ranges from the creation of a specialist detail, through the prefabrication of additional timbers such as spandrels for modular roofs, to the delivery of whole-roof systems design.
